Our goal is the empowerment of women and youth by providing individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and opportunities to enhance their abilities, gain control over their lives, and achieve their full potential dreams. Ensuring access to quality training skills for girls and young people, promoting literacy, and eliminating gender-based barriers to learning. Providing economic opportunities, including access to jobs, entrepreneurship training, and financial resources, and advocating for and enforcing legal frameworks that protect the rights of women and youth.
Our intervention was aimed at educating and empowering communities so that they abandon the FGM practice. The awareness raising emphasized on that the removal of or damage to healthy, normal genital tissue interferes with the natural functioning of the body and causes several immediate and long-term health consequences. During the campaign, SAAD presented messages taken from scientific evidence showing that FGM can lead to severe bleeding, problems in urinating, cysts, psychological and mental problems, complications in childbirth, and newborn deaths.
Our goal is to improve the lives of vulnerable communities, and the socio-economic condition of the Somali community through humanitarian relief efforts and the creation of employment generation activities by forming an execution of grassroots-level participation in rural/urban communities with the assistance of national and international Donors.
